Todays just another day

As I'm sure most of you know, today is Oregon's 147th birtday. She looks pretty good for someone that old.

I learned something new today. Well, technically I learned it sunday. Congress voted to make Oregon a state on the 13th, but the President made it official on the 14th. I found that interesting, although I'm sure that most of you don't care.

It was 11 years ago today that Portland got hit with a decent snow storm (and 10 years ago portland got snow, and then a sudden warming trend which lead to flooding). I was still in high school at the time, but I don't remember the snow storm. I was probably too busy being too cool trying to avoid a girl I didn't want to avoid, to remember it.

Ive decided to grow a beard, but it's not nearly as good as I hoped. But that might just be that I have the uncanny knack for not growing a decent beard. Who knows.
Thats me trying to act all gangsta (actually I was just really tired).

I think I Robot would make a good song for driving late at night.

There's a movie called "The Pirate Movie", which I remember as a kid, liking. I'm gonna try to get it someday. But I wonder if it'll be like "Time Bandits" which as a child I remember liking, but now watching it as an adult, I was bored to death. It's funny how shows you liked as a kid, or thought were funny, become horrible when you view them again as an adult.

There is a new version of the "Oregon Trail" game out, and this time it is on CD rom. I remember in the 4th grade taking Oregon History, and playing the game on the IBMs' we had back in the day.However, back then it was on floppy disks, and the bison you shot at were just dots.
